Hello, my name is Lia and welcome to my website! I currently spend my days performing retinal imaging for world-renowned specialists in San Diego, and my weekends adventuring around southern California finding new beaches and restaurants. Three years ago I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology's Biomedical Photography program where I fell in love with how to capture science in my camera. I am working on ideas that would get me involved in imaging outside of work now, since graduating from college has left my camera slightly neglected.
Many of my classes I have taken as an undergrad have influenced the images I have displayed on this website, but I also enjoy candid shooting outside of class. In the right setting, I really love working with many different types of imaging systems as well as scientific equipment to achieve what people haven't seen before. My passion for science exploration is aided by my extensive microscopic imaging skills.
Some of my work was published in December 2013, for Microscopy UK that can be viewed at this link as well as my Design page, which features a fun analysis of the bugs in the grass around my apartment building at the time.
Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you discover something new by browsing around! Feel free to contact me through my email address to arrange a photo shoot or just any old outdoor adventure in San Diego.
